Terms of Use

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Seychelles Ferries website and booking platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our services. By completing a booking through our platform, you also confirm your acceptance of these terms and of the applicable ferry operator's conditions. We reserve the right to update these terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly. Your continued use of the site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Description of Services

Seychelles Ferries provides an online platform for searching, comparing, and booking ferry crossings between the islands of Mahé, Praslin, and La Digue in the Republic of Seychelles. We act as an intermediary between you and the licensed ferry operators. The actual sea transport is operated by third-party ferry companies; we do not operate vessels ourselves and are not a carrier.

Ferry Operators and Third Parties

Ferry schedules, availability, fares, and vessel operations are determined solely by the ferry operators. We display information provided by or agreed with these operators in good faith, but we do not guarantee that any sailing will run exactly as published. Delays, cancellations, or changes may occur due to weather, sea conditions, maintenance, or other operational or safety reasons. Your contract for the sea crossing is with the ferry operator; we facilitate the booking and payment on their behalf and are not a party to that contract.

Booking Process

When you make a booking through our platform, you are making an offer to purchase ferry ticket(s) for the selected sailing(s). A binding contract is formed when we confirm your booking and payment has been received. You must provide accurate passenger and contact details at the time of booking. It is your responsibility to ensure that all information is correct before completing the booking; errors may affect check-in or travel.

Fares and Availability

Fares and seat availability are subject to change and are not guaranteed until payment has been confirmed. Prices may vary by route, date, time, and travel class. We strive to display current and accurate information provided by the ferry operators; however, final availability and pricing are controlled by the operators. In the event of any discrepancy between the information displayed on our platform and the operator's records, the operator's terms and conditions and prevailing fare rules will apply.

Cancellations and Changes

Cancellation and change policies are set by the ferry operators and may vary by fare type, route, and timing. Please refer to your booking confirmation and the operator's conditions for the applicable rules. Requests for cancellations or changes must be submitted through our platform or customer support. Refunds or amendments are subject to the applicable operator policy and may be subject to fees or restrictions.

Travel Documentation Requirements

Passengers are responsible for holding valid identification and any travel documents required for inter-island travel in the Republic of Seychelles. Requirements may be set by the ferry operator or by local or maritime authorities. It is your responsibility to check and comply with these requirements before travel; failure to do so may result in denied boarding.

Passenger Responsibilities

You must arrive at the departure point in good time (we recommend at least 30 to 45 minutes before departure), present your booking confirmation and identification as required by the operator, and comply with the ferry operator's rules and any safety or embarkation instructions. You are responsible for the behaviour of all passengers travelling under your booking. We and the ferry operators reserve the right to refuse carriage where behaviour or documentation does not meet the applicable requirements.

Liability Limitations

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Seychelles Ferries shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our platform or from ferry operations, including delays, cancellations, or changes to sailings. Our liability in connection with the booking service is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant booking. Liability for the sea crossing itself (including any loss, delay, or injury during the voyage) rests with the ferry operator in accordance with their terms and conditions and applicable maritime law.

Website Use Restrictions

You may not use our website for any unlawful purpose, to submit false or misleading information, to attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or data, or to interfere with the proper functioning of the site. You may not scrape, copy, reproduce, or resell content or data from our platform for commercial purposes without our prior written consent. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to our services where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.

You may not use our branding, trade marks, or content for any commercial purpose without our prior written permission.
